Vagabond Sail is the union of two great passions of ours: travel and sail. Our motto is to travel light, carried by the wind far from the classical routes to discover new horizons and distant people. This mode of life which we have chosen has taken us wandering in the most beautiful seas of the world since 2009. Follow and share with us this beautiful adventure.

Our Story
In 2009 we entered the world of sea travellers.

We were motivated by our desire to live life to the full, to experience new places and new people and to be in complete harmony with nature. We departed from Genova with Coelacanthe, our first boat, for a long voyage which terminated in the crystalline waters of French Polynesia. On our way we experienced special encounters, strong emotions and unforgettable moments. These and many other things have resulted in this adventure lasting 12 years. This has been a transformative voyage for us leading us into a real change of lifestyle - Vagabonds on a sailing boat driven by the wind toward our destiny. With Vagabond (2015-2018) and now with Dumas (2019) the adventure can continue.

Dumas
Randonneur 1200 of 2010, a fast cruiser designed by architect Marc Lombard. The project was the fruit of his experience accumulated in his participation in cruises and regattas and the aim of the design is to maximise the quality of life aboard and the pleasure of sailing whilst maintaining safety
Thanks to its modern water lines Vagabond is capable of elevated averages of speed at all points of sailing.
The hull which is made from strip planking of Red Cedar guarantees lighteness whilst affording high resistance.
The double helm gives grater stability to the craft.
The rigging is initiated in the cockpit for the sake of simplicity and security.
A generous sail plan consists of full batten mainsail, genoa furling, staysail code 0 and spy asymmetric.
The important width of the hull ensures a generous size cockpit which is comfortable for navigation as well as for relaxing.

I was born in Tahiti in 2013 and I "embarked" at just one week old! I immediately acquired my "sea legs" and a great love of my marine environment; I am happy and sociable and I conquer everyone with my friendly smile. In 2016 I have done my first oceanic crossing (North Atlantic in 2016).
I love dives, animals and sweets.
We are a family, we live on board of Vagabond and since 2009 we allow us to transport from the wind around the world to discover new horizons and distant people.

Vagabond Sail Life
Time passes quickly as Dumas' bow continues to plow seas and oceans, leaving in its wake wonderful places and the affection of the many friends met along the way. Dumas is really special house, it changes horizons every day, it allows us to move always making us feel at home. This journey has therefore turned into a real lifestyle, the only one possible for us vagabonds on a sailing boat. The adventure continues and we are curious to find out where the wind will take us.
